I offer individual, virtual therapy in the states of Colorado, Minnesota, Florida, and Vermont.
I provide clinical supervision in the state of Colorado. (Must be an LPCC or LPC!)
I also offer consultation and coaching for people all over the world! This can include therapists looking for coaching around incorporating trauma informed and accessible nature based practices to their clinical work, outdoor professionals looking to diversify and make more inclusive their outdoor programming, and therapists wanting to better support survivors of the Troubled Teen Industry.

While I love working with folks from all walks of life, I specialize in working with people feeling disillusioned with late-stage capitalism, queer folks, survivors of the Troubled Teen Industry, those looking to (re)connect with nature, and those wanting to create a life that feels more authentic and values aligned. I also have a history working with folks living with OCD, grief and loss, religious trauma, activism burnout, eco-anxiety, and those in emerging adulthood.

I show up as a real human in the therapy room! My work with clients emphasizes and centers the therapeutic relationship, as I believe this is where much of the healing happens. I center a decolonized, anti-oppression approach to therapy that often challenges pieces of the Mental Health Industrial Complex (MHIC). When appropriate, I love to bring in humor and always will uplift and celebrate my client’s wins.

Nature-based therapy, to me and my work, means: allyship, stewardship, and connection with the land that allows for deeper healing in the therapeutic relationship. In other words, nature is both a guide and a friend that inspires and uplifts the therapy process. Yes, this can look like having sessions outside, but it’s much more than that! Nature-based therapy can also include discussions and practices related to rest, grief, reciprocity, seasonal rhythms, community care, eco-anxiety, sustainable living, activist burnout, and fighting for the world we want to live in.

At its simplest, values aligned therapy encourages clients to explore and identify the people, causes, and practices most central to their heart in order to live a life that feels more authentic, exciting, and purposeful. This might look like challenging the beliefs you were handed in childhood, asking the questions you were always discouraged to ask, and/or creating more space for what lights you up! We don’t have to wait for the world to be perfect in order to live a fulfilling and joy filled life.

Perhaps you have been told, “I hate capitalism, too, but we have to live in it!” or something else equally diminishing of your lived experience. I do not believe that the harm caused by oppressive systems is something to be tolerated better. In our sessions, we will give adequate space, attention, and grief to the pain that we carry that we did nothing to deserve. We will honor this pain and allow it to exist alongside our joys and wins. I believe that allowing space to learn/unlearn about our country’s history grants us permission to live in alignment with our values while fighting for a better world. I utilize an anti-oppression approach to therapy, which means I am quick to identify when an experience/emotion likely stems from an oppressive system.
Ultimately, the goal is to identify the roots of trauma caused through oppressive systems so that we may unburden ourselves of any blame or shame we’ve associated with that experience.

Have you ever walked into a therapy office and said, “Can I take my shoes off in here?” Working with me is that feeling! I work intentionally with each of my clients to create an environment that feels as safe (and, hopefully, fun) as possible. Together we might create weekly rituals, decide to do the same side quest, or each be doing a craft while we talk. I think there are a million+ ways therapy can look and I am excited to build your unique therapy offerings, together!
